In collaboration with Shaun, I had the joy of designing a one-page Squarespace website that invites expats in Brno to build a meaningful, integrated life that aligns with who they truly are.

The Challenge
On the discovery call, Shaun expressed that it was important to him to have a website that he felt good about sharing with others (like at networking events).
Also, during the content stage of the journey, I asked him what would make him feel like his website was a success. Shaun’s answer was that it would allow him to help expats in Brno with his signature Core Energy Breakthru coaching program.
What a beautiful goal.
Shuan’s Website Vision
The feeling Shaun wanted visitors to have when visiting his website was: sunlight beaming in through the large windows creating a natural warm ambience. So poetic, right?

Key Steps We Took
We worked towards the website vision through curating the text to clearly present Shaun’s services. I offered Shaun content guides to inspire his writing. With the first alliteration we talked through it and came up with ways to make it flow nicely.
Since the Breakthru program was one of Shaun’s priorities to present on the website, we made sure to make it stand out by letting it be top in his service hierarchy.
Shaun already had his branding set, so I just made the website design align with his branding while at the same time creating a professional, polished look.
Shaun has some amazing testimonials! We made sure to add a brief summary of them at the top, so that they wouldn’t be missed, as well as at the end with the full testimonial, for readers interested in reading more about the journey.
Shuan wrote a fabulous FAQ section. It reads like a story. Check it out for inspiration!
The Results & Impact
It was exciting when Shaun told me that he already found one client for his Breakthru program before he even published his new design! He just used the website content to explain the package.
That just shows how when we are clear on our message, it can impact sales just as much as a well-designed website!
When we walked through the full website design for first time, Shaun told me that when he took a peek at it before the meeting, he almost got emotional.
One of my goals as a designer is to make websites that are beautiful, professional and designed for the website owner not just the viewers. Because when we are proud of our website, we will share it, it motivates us, and reminds us of our bigger vision of helping people.
