What You Provide

Creating a beautiful and professional website requires a bit of pre-work for you. Here’s the basic rundown of what you will need to provide: 

  • You will need to provide your logo, brand colors, typography and any other brand assets you want to use.

    If you don’t know where to start, I’m happy to help. See my À la carte branding add-on below.

    Additionally, I can recommend a professional brand designer. 

  • Consider a professional photoshoot with pictures that match your branding. 

  • I’ll give you content guides to help you write your website copy.

    Additionally, I’m happy to recommend a professional copywriter. 

  • You’ll need to provide all the legal documents for your website (Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, etc). There are tips in your client portal where you can find these.

  • If you want help connecting your booking calendar, email marketing service, or payment gate to your website, you will need to set up your own accounts with each service before the design start date.

BRANDING

If you need help with a typographical logo, colors, and typography and don’t plan to hire a professional brand designer, let me know on the discovery call or email me and I can give you an exact quote. Estimate: $500-700.

COPYWRITING HELP

If you need more copywriting help than the included copy guides, let’s talk! I’m happy to hop on a Copy Strategy call, review what you have, or write the whole thing for you. Let me know on the discovery call or email me and I can give you an exact quote. Estimate: $300-500/page.

SUPPORT CALL

Need extra technical or web design support? Fill out the support request form and I’ll send you a quote. (Access to the support request form is only available for clients at the moment).

More Details

  • The total cost of the package is typically paid in 3 payments (unless we agree otherwise):  

    Payment 1: 30% of the total cost is paid as a non-refundable booking fee when signing the contract during Phase 1: Discovery & Book. This will officially complete the booking process for your website package.

    Payment 2: 30% of the total cost is due before the Strategy call during Phase 3: Website Design.

    Payment 3: 40% of the total cost is due before the Launch & Learn call on the last day of Phase 3: Website Design (usually by Thursday of that week). I’ll transfer the website ownership to you after this last payment. 

    Why the booking fee is non-refundable:

    1. It helps you be more invested in finishing the website! 

    2. Also, I only work with one client at a time and am reserving those 3 weeks to design your website and yours only! This 1:1 service means that if you need to cancel the whole project, I’m not guaranteed that I’ll be able to fill that loss with another client. Even though I’m a flexible person, this is a financial loss not just for my business but for my family. So to be fair to both parties, the booking fee is low and only covers a small bit of my loss. 

  • Website-related subscriptions you need to purchase:  

    • Website hosting - Squarespace Business subscription (approximately $23/month - on the annual plan). 

    • Domain name - Free custom domain for the first year with Squarespace!* After that it’s approximately $14-20/year. (*For eligible “top-level domains”) 

    Project-related costs you may need to buy: 

    • Branding (logo, colors, type)

    • Copy (You can write the text yourself or hire a professional copywriter)

    • Brand photoshoot 

    3rd party subscription you may consider buying: 

    • Booking system

    • Email marketing provider

    • Payment gate (like Stripe or Paypal)

    • CRM system

  • I include basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in every website package so that your clients can find you more easily on Google. This basic SEO includes things like:

    • Adding site titles, SEO titles, site descriptions, page descriptions, and business info (if relevant)

    • Checking site security

    • Optimizing and renaming images

    • Adding alt text

    • Optimizing URL slugs

    • Custom 404 page setup

    • Creating a mobile-friendly design

  • Your support period starts after the Launch & Learn call (usually the last day of Phase 3: Website Design). The support period includes:

    • 14 days of email support (I’ll respond within 48 hours) 

    • 1x 30-minute support call, if needed.

    After the support period has ended, feel free to fill out a support request form and I’ll send you a quote.
